This is what separates it from other marketplaces such as Amazon, where merchants can sell almost any product.
How does Etys's internal search work?
Etsy search is a powerful tool designed to match buyers with the items they’re looking for, making it easy for them to make a purchase.
There are two phases of how search works: query matching and ranking.
Query matching: A buyer enters a query and Etsy will look at the inventory of listings that match that query.
Ranking: Behind the scenes, Etsy ranks the matching listings based on a variety of factors.
Etsy also ranks listings using their Context Specific Ranking (CSR) technology. CSR helps Etsy show shoppers relevant listings that they believe they’re more likely to purchase based on what they’ve learned from shoppers’ habits across Etsy.
What is a product listing on Etsy?
Listings on Etsy are the products that are made available to be purchased. Each Listing is made under the appropriate category and with a Shop (Users claim Shops.) Etsy Listings have a creation date and are legitimate for roughly four months. Postings have a cost, and when they’re sold out, you need to restore them so that they can be sold again.
Making another online business item posting isn’t as simple as you may suspect. With a couple of basic errors, it’s anything but difficult to make a passage which is either unappealing or doesn’t contain enough data for your intended interest group to make a buy.
What is Etsy Listing Quality Score?
Etsy sellers whose listings/products get the most and many numbers of impressions in terms of purchases, views, reviews, and favorites are preferred over the other sellers in terms of the Etsy search algorithm. This mechanism is combinedly known as the Etsy Listing Quality Score.
The Etsy listing quality is accessed over a period of time, so new listings have the neutral score, which does not attract any priority placements in the search results. You should always aim to incorporate the latest changes and competencies to your Etsy listings to get high listing quality. Your listings attributes like Tag, Title, Description, and Product photography should be well planned and precisely curated following Etsy’s requirements.
