What is Mediavine Premiere?
Mediavine Premiere is an invitation-only program for professional bloggers with sites earning a minimum of $500,000 in annual ad revenue.
As part of this exclusive, invitation-only program, Mediavine is looking for site owners willing to help guide the next iteration of all things Mediavine, providing thought leadership, feedback and help — not only to Mediavine, but to each other.
The minimum requirements are simply a starting place, and not every site that meets those minimum criteria will be accepted into Premiere. Premiere will always and intentionally be a small, select group of websites rather than an automatic advancement.
Benefits of Mediavine Premiere
So what is so special about Mediavine Pro? Well, there are several unique benefits for Mediavine Pro publishers:
Higher Minimum Revenue Share (90%). Once accepted to Mediavine Premiere, publishers will receive a minimum of 90% in revenue share. This is notably higher than the base revenue share rate of 75% (what most Mediavine publishers begin at) or the 80%-85% offered to Mediavine Pro publishers.
Dedicated Premiere Support Team. Once accepted to Mediavine Premiere, publishers will receive access to a dedicated Premiere support team.
Ability to Onboard Additional Sites at Lower Traffic Threshold. Mediavine currently requires new applicants and current Mediavine publishers (who aren’t in Premiere) to have 50,000 sessions in the last 30 days of traffic for additional sites. Mediavine Premiere allows publishers to onboard multiple sites at lower traffic thresholds.
Access to a Private Mediavine Premiere Facebook Group. Mediavine already offers a private Facebook group to all its existing publishers. But Mediavine Premiere publishers will gain access to a separate private Facebook group.
Invitation to Annual Premiere Publisher Retreat. Mediavine will invite all Premiere publishers to an annual retreat.
Mediavine Premiere FAQs
Is the minimum revenue earned over the past 12 months $100,000 for one site or all my Mediavine sites?
Mediavine Premiere requires at least $500,000 in the last 12 month’s revenue for a single site.
Does the minimum revenue share of 90% apply to all my Mediavine sites?
Based on some early discussions with Mediavine, it appears that Mediavine Premiere publishers are allowed to extend their higher revnue share to three sites in total (initial site exceeding $500k in revenue + 2 more sites selected by the publisher). So, if you have more than three sites, this 90% ad revenue sharing would not be applied to these additional sites.
What is the difference between Mediavine Pro and Mediavine Premiere?
There are three main differences between Mediavine Pro and Mediavine Premiere:
- Mediavine Premiere is invite only; whereas Mediavine Pro is open to anyone who hits $100,000 in annual revenue (with invitations being sent out a few times per year).
- Mediavine Premiere offers a 90% revenue share. Mediavine Pro offers 85%.
- Mediavine Pro has a minimum annual revenue requirement $100k, while Mediavine Premiere requires at least $500k in annual revenue.
Will I automatically get into Premiere if I hit the minimum traffic requirements?
As Mediavine stated in their announcement of the Premiere program:
Premiere isn’t the right fit for every website or website owner. We’re looking for business owners that see Mediavine as true partners in all aspects of their business.
As part of this exclusive, invitation-only program, we’re looking for site owners willing to help guide the next iteration of all things Mediavine, providing thought leadership, feedback and help — not only to Mediavine, but to each other.
The minimum requirements are our starting place, but not every site that meets those minimum criteria will make it into Premiere. Premiere will always and intentionally be a small, select group of websites rather than an automatic advancement.
Conclusion
Mediavine is without a doubt one of the most important tools for bloggers to monetize their content. While the application process is relatively time consuming, the higher RPMs, fast loading ads, and great publisher support, make the process well worth the effort. If you are already a Mediavine publisher, the route to Mediavine Premiere is crystal clear-reach $500,000 in annual ad revenue. If you are not a Mediavine publisher, you could start by applying to Mediavine, or if you are already making $500,000 per year with your site through another ad network, you can reach out to Mediavine directly to switch ad networks.
